tip tuesday; pregnancy must haves

I thought I would start something new, tip tuesdays!! From things like beauty, life, recipes, pregnancy, and you know a little bit of everything.. I know I have been a blogger slacker but quit frankly I need a little bit to work with this blog. I want to hear you input on things you'd like to see more of! BE HONEST I sure would love the feedback!
Here is five things I think are a must have for my pregnant peeps..
1. Pregnancy pillow
This is a absolute must! These can get super expensive if you don't buy them at the right places. I found mine at Burlington Coat Factory for $40 dollars. I saw the same one at Babyrus for $120. I can absolutely not live without this thing. I highly recommend it, mostly when you get out of your first trimester and you start getting bigger. My cute friend kali mentioned something about it a while ago so I wanted to go check it out for myself. I can't sleep without it now because it allows me to sleep on my stomach without smashing the baby! I use to pull the bed spread and the sheets in between my legs and cuddle next to it but now I have this awesome pillow! (my husband just doesn't make the cut)
2. Doterra peppermint essential oil
This absolutely saved me through my first trimester when I was super sick and now with my migraines.
+Use with Lemon in water for a healthy, refreshing mouth rinse
+inhale deeply to invigorate lungs and increase alertness
+add to water in a spray bottle and mist body when overheated
+Apply to neck and forehead with lavender to calm headaches
I normally am not a huge believer in oils i'll be honest with you but I will truly swear by this
3. The proper maternity clothes
Finding clothes has been really extremely hard on me. My body is growing bigger everyday( yes not just my stomach my legs and breast too..TMI maybe!) So it makes it a lot harder to find something I actually like and can appreciate that I look actually flattering in. Before I was married I was the type of girl who wore leggings 24/7 and work out clothes every where I went. But now that I am married and pregnant leggings become over worn and tight shirts become less flattering. I have found surprisingly some amazing deals and cute clothes that I can wear both during my pregnancy and after.   HauteLook is a nordstrom Rack extentions so anything you buy can be returned at anyone of your nordstrom and nordstrom rack store and plus its like $25 dollars for a cute pair of shoes.

4. A comfortable bra
I am going to be blunt with you... WEARING A BRA WHEN YOU'RE PREGNANT IS NOT COMFORTABLE! Matter of fact is that you have to wear one and it is what it is but a better way to avoid the stress of never wanting to wear one is get some comfortable ones that fit you good. I have always been a A32 but being pregnant that makes it nearly possible to be that size. My biggest problem is that my rib cages have been expanding so it makes it difficult to buy a bra. My husband and I went to burlington and got some bras that didn't have a hook in the back that just allows your chest to get bigger and the fabric stretches. Bras are also a purchase you don't want to make cheap but the issue is not cheap bras its where you are purchasing your cheap bras. Step out of your comfort zone and try places like Ross, TJ Max, Burlington coat factory,  and nordstrom rack. These are all places you can get nice brands for have the price they sell you at the malls.
5. Water bottle full of water
Funny I say that right? Everyone is thinking duh you put water in a water bottle, but honestly this is very important. I drink about 96oz a day and am still super dehydrated. Average you should be drinking 6-8oz glasses a day mim (48oz)According to mindbodygreen these are some amazing benefits of drinking water.
+increases energy & relieves fatigue
+Promotes Weight loss
+Flushes out toxins
+Improves Skin Complexion
+Maintains Regularity
+Boosts Immune System
+Natural Headache Remedy
+prevents cramps and sprains
+save money!

high kick

Funny story.... on monday at the doctors office I was slightly scared there might be something wrong with the baby because I haven't felt her move around & reading all these blogs it seems like all these cute September mommies could feel there babies before I could. All them found out before me and felt the progress before me UH I JUST WANT TO FEEL HER!! (I love that I don't have to call it a it anymore). Anyways so the whole drive I was super nervous but I didn't want to tell Travis because I didn't want him to worry. As the baby appeared on the screen she was just kinda laying there towards the end she started practically doing marshal arts! seeing the kicks on the screen made me notice the kicks and I actually felt her! So everyday now I notice the kicks and gosh she's a kicker. HERE IS THE BEST PART..... my dear husband actually felt her today and it was the cutest thing to see his face light up! he said she's a little soccer player & I looked at him and said no way she's a dancer those are just high kicks she's practicing. Having a girl is just the best I have bought clothes and head bands everyday since I found out & so has my mom!! I can't wait till Saturday at the women's expo when I can buy a bunch of boutique items! what's some places you love??

Baby girl

You have to excuse me for taking time off my blog for a couple of weeks I sure needed to take some personal time for a little while and get my life back in order. On that note I had my doctors appointment yesterday at 1:00pm to finally know the gender of the baby! We waited up till 21 weeks to find out so we would for sure know what the sex of the baby is. I have heard quit a few stories of people who found out between 15-20 weeks that they are having a girl and it turns out to be a boy my brothers best friend being one of them. As soon as we got there our doctor walked out and said you are finding out the gender today come in. Normally I meet with the nurse first and she weighs me, checks my heart rate and I pee in a cup then I go into the room my doctor takes me into the room asks me how I'm doing then checks the baby stuff, but he was so excited I walked right in laid down and we started the ultrasound. I haven't seen our baby since I was 9 weeks along. When I looked at the screen it was the first time I completely fell in love. I always hear these moms so connected to there child during the pregnancy and for me it was really hard I faced a lot of depression up till this point. But when I saw my baby on that screen it was like my whole world just stopped and it was just travis and I. This is nothing I could of ever dreamed of. I have always had the desire to have a baby but this is more then my wildest imagination. Anyways when the doctor put our gender in the envelope I was freaking out I had to wait another 6 hours to know what I was having. BUT finally the time had come we pulled the box out from under the table. And I knew it was a boy absolutely knew it!! When we pulled out the balloons I just started to cry I was so happy. I GET A.......
