Light up letter diy

Step 1: get a bold cardboard cut out with the letter or letters of choice and lay it on its back side. I got this one at hobby lobby for 11 dollars and it's the large letters

Step two: cut out the back and remove the extra card board inside! I just ended up poking a hole then ripping it because it just came right off!

Step 3: paint the letter(s) with color of choice! I've also seen people use fabric 

Then poke holes and string the lights I just got the lights at hobby lobby for 7 dollors but I've seen people use light bulbs. (I didn't take a picture of the back but you are gonna need to tape the cords down
