Miss Penelope turned two months on monday! Holy cow two whole months. It's been so fun seeing my little baby getting bigger. She is really starting to gain a personality and thats been a blast. I know this sounds crazy and everyone one is gonna say whatever you are THAT mom but Nelly rolled over from her front to her back! babies don't usually do that till about 4 months so you can say i'm one proud mama. She got her shots on wednesday and It was a very traumatic experience for both me and nelly baby. I made my husband go cause I knew I couldn't do it alone and I was right the second I saw them stick the needle in her leg my head went in between my knees and I bawled I've never heard my babe cry the way she did I just wanted to stop the pain. Those nurses are lucky they are so nice. So yesterday we went to go get her ears pierced I wanted to get it all done so i never have to deal with it again. Lucky me she barely even cried it was for a sec and I think it was cause I woke her from her nap. She got pearls and i'm in love.
two months:
hates taking naps
only weighs nine pounds
by all means don't swaddle the poor child she'll throw a huge fit
loves cuddles with mama
rolling back to front
loves tummy time
hates being changed
loves singing and cooing
loves when mama sings
loves to lay on daddies chest
Also don't forget to follow me on bloglovin something really exciting and new is happening with the blog and I cant wait to share

Was searching for my GF’s blog and came across yours. Started reading and came to your recent post about piercing your daughter's ears. She looks totally adorable with little pearl earrings. It reminded me of my own experience having our daughter's ears pierced at about the same age. I actually dreamed of my baby with earrings when the nurses first handed her to me in the delivery room, she had little gold studs in each ear :) After she was born, I could hardly wait to get them pierced.
ReplyDeleteThis was a perfect age to pierce her ears! Believe although it was your husband's suggestion, you were a smart mommy for following up on his idea and doing the research including asking your pediatrician.
Promise many moms will be envious of your decision and wish they had pierced their girls as infants too. Babies and little girls with little pierced ears celebrates their femininity and femaleness.
There is nothing cuter than seeing a little baby girl with pretty gold earrings. If she was ever called a boy, then I promise she won't be mistaken for a boy ever again!
Our ped encouraged me doing it when mommy could care for them. Also, she gave me some info for moms having their dd’s ears pierced to find the right person and place to do it.
Would be happy to share by e-mail with any moms wanting more info or trying to decide ” to pierce or not to pierce.”
