we left early morning thursday as in 4:30am early to get on the road to California so that we would make it to disneyland before the park opened at 10am. The drive was about a 4 hour drive from lake havasui. luckly since I have been married i've been "that girl" who goes to bed at 8:30pm every single night. I guess its been pretty nice though because the only reason I ever stayed up anyways was because travis and I would stay out till 11-12 every night and I never could sleep because I had a hard time when he would leave (attachment issues). so we finally arrived to disneyland as a last minute trip.
tip#1 NEVER I repeat EVER stay in a motel 6. Nastiest place i've ever stayed in. just spend that 40 extra dollars and stay somewhere nicer.
Our hotel was neon orange with floor that was concrete and had wood paper over it. The bathroom has never ever been cleaned. Even worst the sheets seemed like they haven't been changed or updated since the 70's. At least disneyland was everything I could hope it to be. Over priced food that you buy anyways cause its disneyland and the asians that take pictures of anything thats everything. The best part we even got our pins that said "just married& happy ever after". The best part of the whole entire thing was to see all the other LDS families there. (they definitely stood out)
tip#2 there is a mexican restaurant in frontier land kind of by pirates of the Caribbean and indiana jones. its about 10 bucks a plate but you sure get ALOT of food!!!
I would say my favorite ride there was space mountain. That would was way fun and I love the fact that we are riding a roller coaster in the dark. I think Travis loved the new cars ride in California adventures. We waited in the ride for cars for about 1 1/2 but it was totally worth the wait.
Tip#3 get fast past to the rides you want to go on early in the morning so that you feel like you aren't wasting the rest of the day waiting in lines.
we stayed in disneyland for two days and I think the second night was the worst because I had the worst melt down. Poor travis must really love me after the way I acted towards him. By friday night I was so exhausted and just so warn out that I had taken it out on travis. But luckly his sweet words were uplifting and I was able to enjoy the rest of my night with him.
Tip#4 wear good shoes and good clothes at amusment parks, its not a fashion statement. make sure to always bring an extra pair of shoes in a back pack.
looove the pictures. and love you! glad you're loving being married :) and don't worry, we all get the meltdowns. a month into my marriage with cole, i had a meltdown because i "missed living in the same house as my mom", i'm not kidding. glad you married someone who makes it better, instead of "fighting back". so important!
